This is a "breakage-resistant" colored pencil sharpener born from a challenge on a TV show.
In response to a young student's heartfelt request for a red pencil that wouldn't break easily, we devised and developed a method for sharpening red pencils to make them breakage-resistant by changing the way they are sharpened.
Breakage resistance was determined through drop tests from a height of 1.5 meters.
The probability of lead breakage was reduced by 1/8 compared to conventional sharpening.
The beautifully machined aluminum, produced by CNC, has a dimensional accuracy of 1/1000mm, and the sharpener, with its built-in bearings, is adjusted to within 1/100mm. The thickness of the shavings is an astonishing 0.17mm, making this a pencil sharpener that truly embodies CARL MFY's cutting-edge technology.
